The 2PM Sing-A-Long contest has ended last Monday. Only three participants sent in their entries, which (if we look on the positive side of it) makes it easier for me to judge. 🙂 Well, it’s okay for me. Perhaps some other time I will hold another contest like this, i.e. a sing-a-long.
So, to cut things short, the winner for 2PM Sing-A-Long is…….. *drum roll*…..
Can’t say that I’m not sad seeing there’s no participants for the2PM contest that I posted. Well, a few have shown their interests, but my Hanmail inbox is still empty. ㅠ__ㅠ I’ve done all I can promoting the contest via Facebook and Twitter and also through MY-Hottest friends that I know. But still, no response. Sad.
A fellow reader gave her insights to me as to why this happened. She told me that maybe it’s because I only restricted to ONE song,“Tired of Waiting” (기다리다 지친아). And that Taec’s part, the rap, is almost IMPOSSIBLE to sing. Hehe. My bad. I should’ve told those who wanted to enter the contest that they can just omit the part. 🙂 But the most important reason why I chose this song is because it’s my favorite 2PM song. ♥
Just look at this boy (he’s the one who made me love “Heartbeat”). During Nickhun’s English part, he PURPOSELY ‘sleeps’ on his desk [01:50-01:58]. HAHAHAHAHA. A good way to escape singing in English, boy! 🙂 So, you can just omit Tae’s part and move on with the next part in “Tired of Waiting” (기다리다 지친아). I hope I made this clear.
But, don’t misunderstand! I only need you to send me an .mp3 file, NOT A VIDEO! Something like this. Haha. I record it and paste it in my Tumblr account. I only sang a bit, but, you get the picture now, right? (excuse the voice! I’m soooo not a singer-material!)
And one more thing, I have just found out that Hanmail only gives 100MB (wth?!!) space for email. So, I’d appreciate if those who are interested to email the entry to my Naver email instead. Here’s the details:
Record your song.
Save it and send as attachment to my email (fizzyhasan.at.naver.dot.com)
Please use “[2PM SING-A-LONG]” as your email subject.
Kindly includeyour name,home/office address and twitter id(if any) in the email.
So the contest ends this coming Sunday. I won’t furlong it any further because that’s lame. If there’s only ONE entry, then, he/she automatically wins and own this 2PM’s Calendar and file:
As promised, I’ll hold contests for all readers. This is to welcome new people to my blog and to spread the Hallyu Wave in Malaysia. For now, I have finalized the contest for 2PM. This contest is only open to Malaysians regardless you’re a 2PM die hard fan or not. Anyone can join this. 🙂 So, what do you have to do? Well, it’s quite simple actually.
Basically you are required to sing a song by 2PM. For this particular contest I have decided to use my favorite 2PM song from 01:59PM album; “Tired of Waiting” (기다리다 지친아). Well, all HOTTESTs out there might think that I’m outdated (can’t deny that! hehe), since 2PM already came out with their new mini album. But since I thought 기다리다 지친아 is easier to sing, so I made a decision to use it instead. 🙂
To help you, I have made a video in YouTube. Well, not much of a video actually, it’s only the lyrics for you to sing along. You can practice using that or any ways that you find easy. Once you have ‘conquered’ the song, here’s what you must do:
Record your song.
Save it and send as attachment to my email (fizhasan.at.hanmail.dot.net fizzyhasan.at.naver.dot.com)
Please use “[2PM SING-A-LONG]” as your email subject.
Kindly include your name,home/office address and twitter id (if any) in the email.
Since this is a contest you might wonder what is the prize I’m going to give to the winner. Well, there’ll be only ONE winner for this contest and the winner will walk out with two 2PM items. The first one is 2010/2011 Calendar and the other one is a 2PM document folder/file. The prizes are not that ‘bombastic’, but it is sincerely from yours truly. 🙂 So I hope that sincerity matters. Hehe. (Plus they were bought in Myeongdong,Seoul, if only that matters!! Haha..)
These are what you’re competing for:
The contest ends on Sunday,16th of May [Teacher’s Day]. So, have fun singing and good luck!
Due to the lack of participants, I’m gonna extend the closing date to one more week. Another reason is because I’m gonna be quite busy this week with school stuff so I might not be able to post the prize to the winner within this week. So the new closing date is onSunday, 23rd of May 2010. I hope my Hanmail will be swarmed with emails for this contest. 🙂
As most of you might know, I was in Korea last March. I’m so sorry entries on my trip are not up yet. I’m trying hard to update it a.s.a.p. Please pray that ideas come to me so I can start telling you about my journey. Hehe. As for now, I’m trying to promote my blog, while giving away prizes. When I was in Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, I managed to grab a few idol-related stuff [mainly folders, calendars and postcards] which I know I won’t be keeping all for myself. So I thought of sharing with everyone in love with everything Kpop! [especially Big Bang and 2PM!!] 🙂
In my Twitter and Facebook updates, I did say that it’s going to be a mini quiz. Then again if it’s a quiz I have to come up with questions and answers about the idols and in order to do that, I have to have A LOT of common knowledge about Big Bang and 2PM. Frankly, I’m not that ‘well versed’ in that, I’m sure most of you (if not all) know a lot more about the idols, much better than yours truly. LOL
So, I’m thinking of asking all VIPs and HOTTESTs to come up with something related to Big Bang and 2PM. Here’s my idea (roughly what I have in mind):
Big Bang (VIP) – come up with a fan video using pictures of Big Bang. Preferably, the pictures should tell a story, but that’s not the main point. As long as I find it interesting, it’s okay. 🙂 I will limit the song choice to a few of Big Bang hits, maybe just 2 or 3.
2PM (Hottest) – sing a song. You’re required to sing a 2PM song, record it and send it to my email. A friend of mine have done this long ago (of course it was not 2PM song at that time! LOL) and surprisingly many sent in their entries,me included. Haha.
Alright, for now those are what I have in mind. I will tell you the details later. Please spread the words to your fellow VIPs and HOTTESTs friends. The contests will not be done simultaneously, I might start with Big Bang or vice versa. Feel free to give me your opinions. 😉
If you’re wondering what are the prizes, I’ll update about it once the date of the contest is final (i.e. when I’m not too occupied with school work). Till then, please leave a comment, okay?
I know it’s been agesssss since I last updated this blog. I’ve been super busy+the internet connection @work is not helping at all. SUPER SLOW!! For the past few months I’ve been invisible [sort of], I managed to download A LOT of songs, old and new, and some MVs and performances which I can’t wait to share.
And last weekend, I met up with a friend [dongsaeng to be exact], @ Korean Cuisine in MidValley Food Court, and she gave me something all the way from Korea. Will definitely share it later.
i recently found a very interesting fact about korean artists/entertainers [especially singers]. at first i was quite in a daze as to why they really make a big deal out of their ‘debut’ on stage. well, the truth behind it is quite shocking to me, but at the same time it explains why these korean entertainers are really good in what they are doing.
as you might know [or perhaps might not], koreans really dig boy-bands, girl-groups. i thought i’m over them since i finish high school [backstreet boys was my favourite back then]. but surprises, surprises. the “Hallyu” wave did not only make me love the dramas, but also its music, which apparently made me go crazy over boy bands again. totally not apt for my age, but heck! no harm in ‘dreaming the impossible’, right?
ok, back to the main story.
these korean entertainers, before their debut, will be put into training for years. take SNSD for instance, the girls have been trained since they were in middle school. and now look at how good they are after being nurtured for so many years. unlike malaysia, where the road to being an artist is as short as the time you take to cook a pack or ramyeon [hence the term ‘instant artist’]. no wonder they are so ‘forgettable’. even if they have the looks, they lack talent, or vice versa.
after getting myself immersed into the korean entertainment scene, i have witnessed quite a few debuts and i must say, almost all of them have different qualities and are unique in their own ways. among the new artists are 2AM [strong vocals!], 2PM [great dance moves], Blue Spring [love their voice!] Sori [sexy girl!] and many more. i guess all the long term trainings paid off.
seriously i can’t imagine if this were to be practiced here in malaysia. come to think of it, it’s almost impossible. lol. so i think this is what makes these korean entertainers good, and they have great stamina whenever they perform on stage. mind you, they have choreographed a specific dance routine for each song, so the dance moves really become memorable. [read: Wonder Girls’ ‘Tell Me’ dance, SNSD’s ‘Gee’ dance et cetera].
just to put us in a lighter mood, here’s Jumper‘s “Yes!”. this duo recently debuted in KBS Music Bank, and after a few times listening to this single, it quickly became my driving companion. 🙂 enjoy.
